Lisciandro, Frank. Jim Morrison: Friends Gathered Together:
An actor who first made a name for himself by starring with Nico in Andy Warhol’s 1967 film, I, A Man. Baker was a friend of Jim’s until they had a falling out in 1970 following their acquittal in a trial in Phoenix. He died in 1981.
In November 1969, Morrison found himself in trouble with the law after harassing airline staff during a flight to Phoenix, Arizona to see The Rolling Stones in concert. Both he and fellow traveller Baker were charged with "interfering with the flight of an intercontinental aircraft and public drunkenness".
The relationship he had with Morrison and Morrison's long term girlfriend Pamela Courson was described in his memoir, Blue Centre Light.
Tom Baker died of a drug overdose in New York City in 1982 at the age of 42.
